 Our planets are separated into three groups to make sense of their effects. The Personal planets are Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.  The ancient Egyptians had created a calendar of 365 days per year based of positions of the stars. They spit 365 days into 12 months of 30 day each, with an extra five day period per year. Other cultures adopted this system. It was noticed that over the year the Sun appears to move in a circle against the fixed signs and constellations. The line that the Sun marks during it’s journey is called the ecliptic. In ancient Babylon the ecliptic was broken up to 12 sections and the first zodiac was created. It is from the Greek ‘zodiakos kyklos’ (animal circle) that we get our term zodiac.
