Why are conspiracy theories so popular?

Conspiracy theories are quite popular these days, and a lot of people believe them. People want to know how and why things happen or to explain their behavior with them. The public wants to have an answer even when it can’t be proven to be true, they need something to believe in. An example of a conspiracy theory is that anti-covid vaccines contain chips that someone wants to implant into all humans. This conspiracy theory  shows us how people are afraid to get vaccinated so they come up with conspiracy theories that can explain their behavior. Conspiracy theories are very popular because they help people be less scared.
